Dr. Eytan was born in Jerusalem, Israel. He moved to Arizona with his family when he was 2 and became a naturalized citizen along with his family. He went to the University of Arizona for a BS in Microbiology and obtained his medical degree from the University of Arizona as well. He went to the Medical College of Wisconsin to obtain his training in Ophthalmology and has been with Desert Eye Specialists since 1996. He has performed thousands of surgeries and specializes in modern cataract surgery using all the latest technologies. He is married with two children. He enjoys traveling, playing ice hockey, and spending time with his children.

Dr. Zaki grew up in upstate New York and graduated from The University of Michigan with a degree in neuroscience. She received her medical degree at The George Washington School of Medicine. Upon graduation from medical school, she completed her ophthalmology residency at Boston University and was selected to be the Chief Resident. Finally, Dr. Zaki completed her fellowship in cornea, anterior segment disease, cataract, and refractive surgery at the esteemed Baylor College of Medicine, Cullen Eye Institute in Houston, Texas. In 2016, Dr. Zaki joined Desert Eye Specialists. She provides a patient-centric approach, which allows her to customize each appointment for the individual. Dr. Zaki is involved in research and has published research papers, case studies, and a book chapter. She continues to be actively involved in her profession both locally and nationally, as she has served as the president of the Phoenix Ophthalmological Society and presents at local and national meetings. She has received numerous awards for her contributions and outstanding patient care. She is a member of The American Academy of Ophthalmology, The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, The Cornea Society, and The American-European Congress of Ophthalmic Surgery.  In her free time, she loves to spend time with her husband and her two teenage kids. She is involved in her church community and has a passion for traveling.

Dr. Vayalil was born and raised in Chicago, IL. She completed her undergraduate studies at Nova Southeastern University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree in both Biology and Vision Science. She later went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She completed internships at the Eye Centers of South Florida and MCR Health Bradenton. She has been a part of the Desert Eye Specialists team since 2021 and is dedicated to providing excellent patient care. In her downtime, Dr. Vayalil loves spending time with her family, traveling, and playing tennis.
