Besides providing comprehensive ophthalmology services, Drs. Eytan and Zaki have a special interest in performing cataract surgery using the most advanced techniques currently available. Drs. Eytan and Zaki operate at the Spectra Eye Institute, considered one the Valley’s premium outpatient surgical centers.  In addition to performing traditional or standard cataract surgery, Drs. Eytan and Zaki offer their patients the following options:

• Laser assisted cataract surgery: Perform the latest and most advanced method to removed cataracts, by using a femtosecond laser (Lensx). Using the laser to correct astigmatism, soften the cataract, and make the incisions allows complete customization of the procedure for each individual patient.
• Management of astigmatism through the use of special surgical techniques and/or the implantation of “Toric” intraocular lens.  Reduction in pre-existing astigmatism offers patients the possibility of less dependence on glasses for distance vision following cataract surgery.
• Correction of Presbyopia (difficulty or inability to see up close to read or use computer without glasses, generally occurring after age 40) by implantation of specially designed intraocular lenses which enable patients not only to see at a distance but also to perform near activities (reading) with less dependence on glasses after their cataract operation.
